In the Book of Revelation, the character of the beast is given authority to make war on the saints and conquer them for a period of 42 months

" And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months "

Months, if we take them to be synodic months, reference the keeping of time using the moon

The name of the moon god was most often written with the number 30, this is given for both the approximate month length ( Almost 29.53 days ) as well as the approximate 30 degrees arc in the month

Using the term 30, we multiply this by the number of seconds in one day to obtain the number of seconds per month, then multiply this by the number of months given in Revelation, we get
