. My conjecture is that the ancients based their numerology and metrology on trivial occurrences in the digits of pi, ( Discussed in my thread on the 7 seals HERE ), and this appears to be the case with the first time the term 144,000 appears in the digits of pi Using the triangular 666, the powers of ten, and the intercalary term, rounded ( Floor function ) we can locate the first time the term " 144,000 " appears in the digits of pi The numbers in the far right column are the natural numbers used to count the digits of pi, and the column to the left is the digits of pi This can be checked by the reader by THIS webpage which lets users search the digits of pi Naturally, I'm aware this suggests Egyptians and Mesopotamians knew pi to far more many digits than is currently known ================= Notes

Islam- "Allah is He, who created the sun, the moon, and the stars—[all] governed by laws under His commandment." (Quran 7:54)
" It is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon. All [the celestial bodies] swim along, each in its orbit " (Quran 21:33) " The sun and the moon follow courses exactly computed " (Quran 55:05)
During a solar or lunar eclipse, there is a recommended prayer called the Prayer of the Eclipse (Salat al-Khusuf) that is performed by Muslim communities who may be in congregation at the time of the eclipse reported by Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba ( Companion of the Prophet ): " On the day of Ibrahim's death, the sun eclipsed and the people said that the eclipse was due to the death of Ibrahim (the son of the Prophet). Allah's Apostle said, 'The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of someone's death or life. So when you see them, invoke Allah and pray till the eclipse is clear. '" (Hadith 2:168) 144,000 is alleged to have been the number of Sahaba ( Companions ) of Muhammad, though other totals have been given ============= Notes

A Baktun is 20 Katun cycles of the ancient Maya Long Count calendar, which contains 144,000 days The Maya calendar consists of several cycles or counts of different lengths. The 260-day count is known to scholars as the Tzolkin, or Tzolkʼin.[5] The Tzolkin was combined with a 365-day vague solar year known as the Haabʼ to form a synchronized cycle lasting for 52 Haabʼ, called the Calendar Round. The Calendar Round is still in use by many groups in the Guatemalan highlands. A different calendar was used to track longer periods of time and for the inscription of calendar dates (i.e., identifying when one event occurred in relation to others). This is the Long Count. It is a count of days since a mythological starting-point According to the correlation between the Long Count and Western calendars accepted by the great majority of Maya researchers (known as the Goodman-Martinez-Thompson, or GMT, correlation), this starting-point is equivalent to August 11, 3114 BC in the proleptic Gregorian calendar or September 6, in the Julian calendar (−3113 astronomical) The GMT correlation was chosen by John Eric Sydney Thompson in 1935 on the basis of earlier correlations by Joseph Goodman in 1905 (August 11), Juan Martínez Hernández in 1926 (August 12) and Thompson himself in 1927 (August 13) By its linear nature, the Long Count was capable of being extended to refer to any date far into the past or future. This calendar involved the use of a positional notation system, in which each position signified an increasing multiple of the number of days. The Maya numeral system was essentially vigesimal (i.e., base-20) and each unit of a given position represented 20 times the unit of the position which preceded it An important exception was made for the second-order place value, which instead represented 18 × 20, or 360 days, more closely approximating the solar year than would 20 × 20 = 400 days 144,000 / 360 = 400 The cycles of the Long Count are independent of the solar year Many Maya Long Count inscriptions contain a supplementary series, which provides information on the lunar phase, number of the current lunation in a series of six and which of the nine Lords of the Night rules.
