The moon god Sin / Nanna has many sobriquet ( Nicknames ) and titles in Mesopotamian literature. For example, it's known as the " fruit " ( Pomegranate ) during rosh chodesh ( New Moon ) in Akkadian texts, or " Lord of the decision "

The common name of the moon god Sin in many texts is actually the number " 30 "

I believe this was chosen to reflect the math involved in calculating lunar cycles ( eclipses, new moons, etc ), so I will show why I believe this to be the case in this thread

We'll start with an example from the well known Enuma Anu Enlil tablets

An interesting quality of the mathematical value of the name " Israel " is that by raising it to a power of itself / 1,000, is ~ 30

This is interesting in light of the relationship between the number of degrees earth rotates in 7 days and how this meshes to the figurate T₇₃ ( Genesis 1:1 )
